Apprenticeship costs
Like all good things, apprenticeships and training costs money. However industry training is significantly cheaper than the fees charged by most tertiary institutions. And an added bonus is that you will be able to earn a wage while you are learning!
There are now a couple of different fee structures available for apprenticeships and industry training programmes with the NZHITO, for full details contact your local NZHITO representative.
For your annual NZHITO sign-up you are entitled to:

Access to NZHITO training and assessment guides to support your learning process.
- A workplace training needs analysis
- An individualised workplace training plan
- A minimum of four visits a year from you local NZHITO Training Advisor

On-job support, advice and guidance of your NZHITO Training Advisor

Administrative support from the NZHITO

Your completed credits being registered with NZQA

Access to a registered NZHITO workplace assessor

The issue and award of any completed National Certificates

Access to off-job training

The use of the NZHITO 0800 number
- Representation for your industry on the NZHITO board of directors
- Access to a network of other NZHITO workplace assessors
- Moderation services
The NZHITO annual fees are payable by either you or your employer – dependent upon the arrangement you and your employer have reached.
