How We Support You
We want to ensure that your training with us goes as smoothly as possible, to make sure this happens there are a number of ways that the NZHITO will support your training
This is how we will support you:

We provide a training advisor in your region to support and co-ordinate your training

Individual training programmes to suit you, your employer and your workplace

A minimum of four visits a year from your local NZHITO training advisor

Training and assessment guides to support your on-job training

Organisation of any off-job training you need to participate in

Training and advice for your employer
What we in turn will expect from you as a trainee or apprentice

A sincere attempt to complete all agreed targets in the quarterly training plan.

Attendance of all Training Days that have been enrolled in.

Preparation for the quarterly review meetings, both with any paperwork or questions

The supply of correct contact details, and updates of any address, contact details or name changes.

That you will approach your assessor and advise them that you are ready to be assessed if they have not yet assessed you.

That if you run out of scheduled training before the next quarterly review that you contact your trainer, employer or local NZHITO Training Advisor so they can arrange to have more sent out.
