This year the Fruit Growers competition has been fortunate in having Ravensdown as the Naming sponsor for all the regional Fruit Grower Competitions.

This years regional Fruit Growers competitions are being held in:

• Central Otago - 29th April - the winner of the day was Kris Rob, who went on to the next round of the competition.
  

• Waikato - Early July - the winner of the day was Richard Thorn, who went on to the next round of the competition.

• Bay of Plenty - 5th July - the winner of the day was Robert Humphries, who went on to the next round of the competition.

• Northland -14th July - the winner of the day was Dominique Zivkovic-Brady, who went on to the next round of the competition.

• Hawkes Bay - 18th July - ICE expo - the winner of the day was Ben McNatty, who went on to the next round of the competition.

A play off for the finalist position to represent the Fruit Growers sector at the NZ Horticulture ITO Young Horticulturist of the Year - 2007 Competition occurred at the Horticulture NZ Conference  31st July -2 August, Congratulations to Robert Humphries who won the sector final and will go on to the represent the Fruit sector at the grand final in November.
