The Landscape Industries Association of New Zealand (LIANZ) - held one national competition to select a finalist to go through fro their sector to the NZ Horticulture ITO - Young Horticulturist of the Year - 2007 Competition.

The national competition for the Landscape sector occurred on Friday 22nd June, with a practical activities day at the combined LIANZ and NGIA conference in Nelson.

Congratulations to Gavin Lodge who won the landscape sector competition, and will now carry on to represent the Landscape sector at the National finals of the Young Horticulturist of the Year 2007 Competition in November. Gavin works for John Fleck at Ground FX Landscaping Ltd.
