This year there will be three regional competitions and a final to determine who will be going on to represent the Viticulture sector at the NZ Horticulture ITO - Young Horticulturist of the Year - 2007 Competition.

Details of the sectors regional competitions and finalists are as follows:

• Combined regional competition; Auckland, Gisborne and Hawkes Bay - 4th August - Finalist is Emma Taylor
  

• Central Otago regional competition - Finalist is Pip Withers
  

• Combined regional competition; Marlborough, Nelson, Wairarapa - 21st July - Finalist is Nigel Sowman

• Wairarapa competition - Finalist is Charles Simons
  

The three regional winners will attend the Bragato Wine conference, 23-25th August in Auckland, for a play off at Villa Maria vineyards by Auckland airport.

The overall winner will represent this sector at the Grand Final event in November.
