Introduction to Pruning and Maintenance of Amenity trees and shrubs

Planting trees and shrubs
This two day training course will be looking at introductory pruning and maintenance of amenity trees and shrubs, as well as planting of trees and shrubs.
The training days may include the following:
- controlling weed and ground cover under amenity trees and shrubs
- irrigation of trees and shrubs
- knowledge of fertilisers and soil amendments
- inspection and tree protection systems
- pruning equipment
- principals of pruning and training
- form and features of trees
- preparing for planting
- planting
- manual transplanting
This course will assist you with working towards unit standards such as: 2766, 2768, 2765, 2772.
