The end of 2007 saw the Vegetable Production review started.

Minor changes are currently being made to some of the older unit standards in Vegetable Production and a couple of new unit standards are under development to  fill the training gaps that were identified in outdoor vegetable production.

These unit standards are currently at NZQA undergoing evaluation.

The process will see the old vegetable production qualification expired and a new vegetable production strand will be added to the current National Certificates in Horticulture at Level 4.
